Publift Reporting Dashboard Report and Metric Explanation

Publift Reporting Dashboard Report and Metric Explanation

Our reporting dashboard currently offers 3 different report types:
  1. Account
  2. Network
  3. Page Performance

These are the common metrics that are used in all report types.
Impression
These are the impressions that have been filled by a network via Publift.
Revenue
This is net revenue from impressions that have been filled by a network via Publift. We automatically remove our share and any network shares from your reports.
eCPM
This is a standard metric based on revenue generated by Publift from 1000 programmatic impressions. This standard calculation is in line with the CPM calculation used by AdExchange, AdSense, Rubicon, etc.

Account Report
This report provides more detail on the account level performance. The metrics used in this report can be found below.
Ad Request
An ad request refers to the total number of times a page makes a request to an ad server, including both filled and unfilled impressions.

The total number of ad requests will not always equal to the total sum of filled and unfilled impressions, as there are cases in which an ad request is made but the impression is neither filled nor unfilled. In most instances, this is the result of a technical error in which a page is abandoned or refreshed at some point before the ad request is filled.
Unfilled Impression
These are impressions that have not been filled by a network via Publift or by a direct campaign.

If an impression is deemed unsuitable for an ad network, the ad will not serve. Additionally Google Ad Manager (GAM) will only record an impression when the entire process has been captured in GAM. There may be some instances in which an ad request was sent but not captured in GAM - due to technical issues, or users navigating away before the ad fully renders - resulting in an unfilled impression.
Ad Request CPM
This is a metric based on revenue generated by Publift from 1000 ad requests. In the case that we are sending impressions outside of programmatic - such as for a direct campaign - a calculation will be made available for all ad spots instead of being limited to just the impressions filled through programmatic. This informs us of the cost of impressions that go unfilled or to a direct campaign.
Fill RateFill rate represents the proportion of impressions that are filled compared to total filled and unfilled impressions. The number is usually higher than the difference between Ad Requests and Unfilled impressions in our dashboard because non-programmatic ads may fill some impressions. Therefore, Fill Rate is a true measure on the rate of unfilled impressions, rather than the proportion of impressions Publift serves compared to requests.

Network Report
This report only provides the standard metrics that is used throughout all report type. However, the network report is able to provide a network performance breakdown of your performance.

Page Performance Report
This report is the latest addition to our reporting dashboard, which allows us to integrate Google Analytics data to our reporting dashboard. With the page performance report, insights on the effect of page views and sessions of your page can be compared with the ad performance via Publift.
The metrics offered in this report can be found below.
Pageviews
This is the total number of pageviews of your site(s) from Google Analytics.
Sessions
This is the total number of sessions of your site(s) from Google Analytics. A session will end by default after 30 minutes of inactivity by a user.
Page RPM
This is a standard metric based on revenue generated by Publift from 1000 pageviews. This standard calculation in line with the Page RPM calculation used in AdSense.
Impression/PageviewThis represents the ratio of impressions per pageviews.
