I've been contacted by a new network
- A new network has contacted you expressing interest in advertising on your site. To begin testing a new ad network, an IO will be signed, with rates and ad types (display, video etc.) agreed upon, and the creative tags will be sent across to either you or Publift. Contact your account manager when you have expressions of interest from new networks.
- The way we test ad networks is commonly via a gradual implementation. The tags will be implemented with limited targeting - this may include a restriction in sizes, impression volume, geography and price. The aim is:
- To test demand within the network - are advertisers within the new network interested in your inventory?
- To test demand within your ad stack - are advertisers willing to compete with and beat other networks for your inventory?
- Commensurate with the testing period, and if both of the above criteria are met, performance is considered to be strong. The targeting for the new network is then widened, giving them access to more inventory. The aim of this is to increase revenue.
